Trainer Helps Weighty Issue

“Trudy Dawson is on a mission. The Stafford personal trainer and director of Resultz wants her suburb, of about 6000 people, to be the healthiest in Brisbane. To that end, she said her gym would offer a free fitness session every Saturday. She said she wanted to base her quest around the State Government’s recent “Do your 30” campaign, which encouraged people to do 30 minutes of exercise a day. ‘I thought that we could break it down to a local level; it has been my goal for a long time to do it,’ Ms Dawson said. She said the launch of the workout would be held at Keong Park, Stafford, on Saturday starting at 7.30pm. She said a positive response from the community would see the fitness sessions held as regularly as twice a day. ‘This is just the launch but we are hoping to have it on a regular basis,’ she said. ‘It is a great affordable way for people to be healthy.’”
