7 Days for Fitness Moves Austria
“Approximately 70,000 active participants used the opportunity provided by 226 partner clubs to exercise and try out up to seven different facilities. The yearly campaign of Austria’s fitness companies began this year in October under blue sky and beautiful autumn weather. This resulted in a slight decrease in visitors (approx. 84,000 in 2007). Nonetheless the organisers and club management were satisfied, based on interest of the walk-ins and closing ratios that significantly exceeded those in 2007. The entire range of programs and facilities could be tested, including group fitness and relaxation areas. The 7 day pass was both a guest pass as well as a lottery ticket with prizes over over €30.000,- and a Smart Cabrio for 2 as the main prize. 226 partner facilities of 7 Days for Fitness were leaders of this dedicated lobbying campaign. Each club that again took part in this year’s event has furthered the goal of the entire industry: to connect as many Austrian clubs in a unified marketing presence. Other industries have achieved similar public awareness campaigns long ago, and are harvesting the fruits of their multi-year, intensive image development. The Fitness at Internet Corporation, as organizer of 7 Days for Fitness, has achieved the duality of organizing a national campaign as well as permitting individuality of the participating clubs. This year’s budget was the highest ever. There has never been as much support from local companies through sponsorship. The continuous success of the campaign in the last three-year is also due to the individual clubs, who above all contributed with lots of promotion of their own. The number of press reports was a new record: 7 Days for Fitness had 271 Daily newspapers, magazines, Internet media and radio spot placements. The official press clipping book will be presented in an official feedback meeting of organizers, sponsors and partner clubs and is available on request through 222.fitness.at.”
