“The husband and wife owners of a defunct Kingston health club have agreed to plead guilty to charges in a tax and mail fraud conspiracy that federal prosecutors said cheated the government out of $167,402 and investors out of at least $347,000. Frank Rocco Peperno, of Old Forge, faces up to 35 years in prison and a $1.25 million fine on tax and mail fraud charges but, under federal sentencing guidelines and the terms of his plea agreement, will likely be sentenced to 33 to 41 months in prison. His wife, Salli Ann Peperno, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on a tax fraud charge, but will likely be sentenced to six to 12 months in prison under the terms of her deal.
