Hot to Trot? IHRSA Helps Biz Travelers Workout Just About Anywhere

So what's a road warrior to do? Here’s a tip both you and your next group of convention guests need to know about -- the ‘IHRSA Passport program’ which enables travelers to access fully-loaded, ‘real’ gyms near their host hotels. IHRSA (The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association) is an organization that represents health and fitness facilities worldwide. One of the services they offer is Healthclubs.com, a web site that enables travelers to locate locate IHRSA member health clubs in the United States, Canada, and overseas. Once you and your guests find a convenient participating gym on the site, just follow the instructions, fill out the required information, call the club to verify availability or guest fees, head to the gym, and get your sweat on -- just like we plan to do when we head to London next month. So what’s the catch? You may only visit clubs that are at least 50 miles away from your home club -- and you’ll need to be a member of an IHRSA club. For details, visit Healthclubs.com.
