Genesis To Open Temporary Club As Construction Continues On New Facility

“Construction has begun in the 105,000-square-foot shopping center at 1808 S. Ninth that will house Genesis Health Clubs. The former shopping center is to be the future home to a 60,000-square-foot health club and tennis center. But as construction in the new center proceeds, a portion of the shopping center is expected to open as a temporary health club that will open for workouts beginning Sept. 28, according to a news release. The space formerly occupied by Office Max will be used for the temporary club and will include state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment. Group fitness classes, including cycling class, will be offered. Memberships will be available, with special offers for the first 400 new members.
Construction on the full facility is expected to be completed early in 2010, according to the news release.”
