“ABC7 is taking part in the Kid Healthy campaign to help educate children and parents about the importance of healthy eating and exercise. As part of the campaign, Eyewitness News teamed up with pediatricians from across Southern California to answer questions about childhood obesity, immunizations, and tips for keeping your kids healthy. Childhood obesity has reached epidemic levels across the U.S. An estimated 17 percent of children ages 2 to 17 are obese.
