“Health Magazine" Has Voted Urban Active As Number 3 On Its Top 10 “America’s Healthiest Gyms” Lis

“The article in Health magazine’s April issue states a raving review done by Kim Lyons, celebrity fitness trainer best known for her role as a trainer on The Biggest Loser and author of Your Body, Your Life. Lyons reports about Urban Active, “this innovative club understands the importance of environments that make you want to be there. Their newest building in Columbus , Ohio for example, is 75 percent glass, and every club’s indoor track boasts nearly complete panoramic views, surrounding members with sunlight. Most cardio machines have flat-screen personal TVs (and iPod hookups) and you’ll find tons of cardio equipment in the in-club movie theaters. Lyons loves that many staff members are specially trained to work with people with injuries and disabilities, a segment of the population many gyms overlook.” She also says ‘I feel the passion behind this club.’ Jen Boulden (co-founder of idealbite.com, a free daily-tip service for green products, lifestyle and services) adds about Urban Active, ‘They know their stuff – thoughtful, thorough green practices that promote member health as well as the Earth’s well-being.’ Urban Active is the Hottest Name In Fitness with 32 Health & Fitness Lifestyle Clubs in the tri-state region of Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, with aggressive plans to develop 18 more facilities in the next 3-4 years, mainly in the Mid-South, Midwest and Eastern Seaboard markets. Urban Active’s mission statement is: ‘to create active communities through innovative fitness.’ UA does this by offering a combination of the latest in fitness, innovation and passion for wellness that takes the concept of ‘Health Club’ to the next level.’”
