Last Chance To Work Up A Sweat For Free At Women's Healthcare

“Saturday 11 April is the last day members of the public can get involved in drumming circles with Dubai Drums, salsa from Familia De La Salsa, Pilates from Exhale Studio, and high-energy workouts with Kangoo Jumps. Each class attracts as many curious onlookers as it does participants and opens visitors' eyes to the range of activities available to them in their neighbourhood. For those who like their physical activity a little more virtual, Nintendo Wii is staging demonstrations of Wii Fit, the popular game that matches fitness with great graphics and an easy to use remote, making it a perfect combination of entertainment and activity that every member of the family can enjoy. ‘Our demonstrations and workout sessions show visitors that fitness can be fun and exercise is possible anywhere, even in the privacy of home,' said Vijay M. Thankur, Executive Director of J.M. Electronics Trading Co. L.L.C., the distributors of Nintendo Wii in the UAE. Meanwhile, global health club chain Fitness First has been flooded with inquires about their new Ladies Only gym sections, soon to be opened in Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road and Uptown Mirdif. These areas are as big as the mixed gyms with the same cardio and weight training equipment, but with added privacy and comfort in a single sex environment. 'Women have responded very positively to the free fitness classes this year,' said Sietske Meerloo, Marketing Manager of Women's Healthcare, organised by IIR Middle East. 'We've had lots of feedback about the positive effects the workouts are having as a way to relieve stress and tension. It's a great opportunity for women and their families to focus on improving their fitness while enjoying themselves with physical activity, whether they are daily gym-goers or occasional exercisers.' Visitors have one more day to work out for free at Women's Healthcare, as well as receive free health check-ups, attend informative seminars, and discover the latest services and products promoting health and wellbeing.”
