New York Sports Clubs Opens Its 13th Long Island Location in Deer Park

“New York Sports Clubs (NYSC), the largest owner and operator of fitness clubs in the tri-state area with 112 locations, today announced the opening of its newest facility, conveniently located in the new Tanger Outlet at the Arches, 455 Commack Road, in Deer Park, New York. The newly-constructed 32,000 square-foot facility marks NYSC’s 13th Long Island location. It serves a diverse membership base comprised of Deer Park residents and those from the surrounding communities of Bay Shore, Baywood, North Babylon and Dix Hills. ‘We realize a challenging economy gets people to carefully evaluate their fitness options, which is why we designed NYSC to be an attractive and rewarding choice for long-term value.’ ‘We are thrilled to open NYSC Deer Park,’ said Alex Alimanestianu, CEO of New York Sports Clubs. ‘Having a brand new facility in such a great community is very exciting and gives us another opportunity to deliver on our mission of improving lives through exercise.’ NYSC Deer Park features a four-lane swimming pool, basketball court, family changing area, and an extensive array of the latest fitness equipment. Treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio machines, including the new AMT by Precor, are equipped with individual entertainment systems so that members can enjoy TV or music while they exercise. In addition, a dedicated personal training area enhances time spent with the NYSC’s staff of professional trainers. An extensive group exercise schedule offers a variety of classes in the large main studio, including step, total body conditioning and hip-hop funk, while two other specialty studios feature cycling and pilates/yoga programs. Additionally, the club offers NYSC’s Sports Clubs for Kids – a program of recreational athletics for children ages 3-13, featuring swim lessons and various sports leagues, as well as birthday parties and special events. ‘Our combination of equipment, classes, facilities and instructors, along with flexible membership offerings represents a tremendous value to members,’ said Mr. Alimanestianu. ‘We realize a challenging economy gets people to carefully evaluate their fitness options, which is why we designed NYSC to be an attractive and rewarding choice for long-term value.’ NYSC is also proud to announce that the Deer Park facility was built with the environment in mind. The club is equipped with high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, LED and compact fluorescent light fixtures, energy saving restroom fixtures and environmentally-friendly paints. Waterless urinals, low flush toilets and air blade hand driers can be found in locker rooms in an effort to save water and reduce paper towel waste.”
