Health Care Should Include Prevention

“Our health care system is draining income from individuals as well as industries and businesses at a rapid rate. The high costs are hurting everyone and must be fixed. The one thing the government can do to make a lasting and vital difference is to begin a prevention program based on Wellness Sessions for everyone. There would be professional recommendations made for maintenance and improvement for each individual going forward. Subsequent sessions would record progress or lack thereof. The performance, whether good or bad, would directly affect the dollar cost of each person’s health insurance payment. A bad report could result in a higher premium. The dollar incentive to keep a healthy lifestyle would be important to make the system work. The sessions should be twice a year, starting in the primary and secondary school system so that youth can understand at an early age what it takes to be a part of a healthy America.”
