Incorporating Work, Wellness Requires Diligence and Planning

“Long-term success in achieving total body wellness often requires planning, discipline and finding ways to easily incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Investigate whether or not your company offers corporate wellness programs and/or has an on-site fitness center. If it doesn't, find out if any corporate discounts or incentives are offered through your company at a studio or health club. If your company does not offer any wellness programs, bring the programs to you. Contact human resources about bringing in nutritionists or fitness instructors who can present during ‘lunch and learn’ sessions on wellness-related topics. Motivate the people with whom you work to start exercising and start a friendly interoffice competition. Take a private session and ask the instructor to review exercises you can do at your desk.”
