Fitness Center Set For Ballantyne Debut

“Urban Active Fitness is slated to open a 42,000-square-foot health club this weekend. The $13 million facility features three stories of fitness equipment and exercise venues. The club boasts an indoor swimming pool, elevated track, racquetball courts and more than 115 pieces of workout equipment. The facility also will operate a supervised playroom for children. Urban Active Ballantyne will have roughly 55 employees. The club is at 12325 Copper Way. It will be open Aug. 28 and 29 for previews and open to members Aug. 30. Urban Active operates 35 fitness clubs in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Nebraska and Pennsylvania. The Ballantyne facility is its first in North Carolina.”
